The Nigeria I want To See
By CHUKWUBUMNOBI EBO
Nigeria is my country. I love Nigeria. It is my home. I love my friends, cousins, teachers and the people of Nigeria. The land is big and beautiful. I really love the beaches too.
However, they are some things I do not like about Nigeria. There is always too much traffic, and it is always so exhausting going from one place to another. There is too much rain, and I think this is caused by climate change. Many people are being kidnapped, and people are suffering from hunger. I will like to improve traffic, security, and also stop hunger and poverty in Nigeria.
I will tell you how I will change these things. I will repair the bad roads and build new ways. My roads will have proper gutters on the sides so that water flows when it rains. I will have people check the roads every weekend. I will put more security guards on the street and make sure everyone stays safe. I want to see those who do bad things are punished. I want to see a land full of crops and grains, with plenty of food for children, so that children will not suffer and beg for food. I will like the rich and the poor in our society to pay their tax so that the money will be used to help us to make our country better for everybody, and even the poor. We have much land and can grow more food crops to sell for money and to develop Nigeria.
Imagine the meaning of the colours of the flag of this great country. The white stands for peace and the green for agriculture. This means that we should have peace and plenty of food in Nigeria. We can help maintain peace in Africa and provide food crops for sale in Africa. Nigeria will become a prosperous country and be able to take care of its citizens well. If Nigeria does these things, it will become an excellent example to other African countries.
I will like to see a Nigeria that takes special care of children and protects their rights. Children need good healthcare, schools and recreational facilities for them to grow healthy and smart. I will build schools, hospitals and parks in every Local Government area.
I think these changes will help. I love my country, and that is why I wrote this. I believe Nigeria can be better in the future. I also think Nigeria can be better if people stop doing bad things, like lying, cheating and hurting people. God expects us to do good things to take care of our land and people. This is what I plan in the future. I know Nigeria can achieve this.
I will like to be a leader in Nigeria to make these changes. I will need some assistance to get this done, so I will choose good citizens of Nigeria who believe in what I want to change.
Together we will make Nigeria a better place for all, a country we all want to see.
