The Jordan Hill One-on-One Online Class offers children from the age of five the opportunity to learn English, Math, Science, or Social Studies at their own pace. We empower our learners to excel in key exams, including the 11+ entrance tests for top Grammar and private schools in the UK, as well as GCSEs, setting them up for success! This personalised approach ensures learning effectiveness tailored to each child’s unique needs and a parent’s specific requests.

Curriculum Options

Enrichment Curriculum: Based on the learning needs identified in the initial assessment, this curriculum is thoughtfully crafted by Jordan Hill to enhance your child’s learning experience.
School Curriculum Reinforcement: Reinforce your child’s existing school curriculum. Parents are required to provide the curriculum details from their child’s school.
Examination Preparation Curriculum: Specifically tailored to prepare your child for 11+ entrance exams and GCSEs, ensuring they achieve their full potential and secure success in these critical milestones.

Class Schedule

Online classes are conveniently scheduled after school, typically between 2 pm and 6 pm on weekdays, subject to availability.

Parental Recommendations: Parents may be asked to provide resources, texts, and writing materials.
Provided by Jordan Hill: Learning resources and graphic sheets are available through our e-learning platforms.

Learning Engagement Formats

Live Lessons: Offer real-time, instructor-led sessions via online platforms to engage students directly, providing opportunities for immediate interaction, clarification, and guidance.
Asynchronous Learning Modules: Provide pre-recorded video lessons, slideshows, and interactive activities that students can complete independently at their own pace, allowing for flexible learning schedules.
Formative Assessments via Interactive Quizzes & Paper Tests: Incorporate online quizzes and paper tests as assessment tools to measure student understanding at the end of every month of engagement while delivering instant feedback to enhance engagement and learning outcomes.
Hands-On Projects: Assign project work using shared digital tools to enhance learning engagement, self-driven learning and problem-solving skills online and offline.
Gamified Learning Platforms: Integrate educational games and simulations to create an interactive and enjoyable learning environment, reinforcing key concepts through gamified experiences.

Attendance and Punctuality

Regular attendance and punctuality are required for all scheduled live lessons.

Missed Class Policy

At Jordan Hill, we offer a variety of learning engagement formats to ensure that our students receive a well-rounded and flexible educational experience. Given these variety of learning engagement formats we offer, it is useful to receive a twenty-four-hour notice from students who anticipate missing a live lesson (if that has been structured). This allows us to seamlessly automate and activate alternative learning formats, ensuring that the student’s learning experience continues without interruption. This policy is part of our commitment to providing a dynamic and adaptable education that accommodates the diverse needs and schedules of our students.

Registration Requirements

To ensure consistent progress and engagement, a minimum of eight classes, each lasting one hour, is required per month.
Your child’s class schedule (time slot) is secured for an entire academic year (typically ten months) through a monthly direct debit payment plan. This direct debit arrangement guarantees that your child’s specific time slots are reserved throughout the year, providing a stable and uninterrupted learning experience. Additionally, this approach simplifies the payment process, ensuring that classes are scheduled consistently without the need for frequent manual payments.
By committing to this schedule, you ensure that your child receives regular, structured learning, which is crucial for achieving their academic goals. The direct debit plan also offers peace of mind, as it automatically manages your payments and secures your child’s place in their chosen time slots for the duration of the year. However, you can of course cancel the Direct Debit agreement at any time.
New enrolments are requested to complete the Expression of Interest form, while returning students should fill out the Returning Students Sign Up form. Following this, the Jordan Hill admin office will contact you within 48 hours to discuss specific time slots for your child, after which a link for direct payment will be provided. Please note that payment should only be made after your class times have been confirmed.
