MY NIGERIA BY MOFIYINFOLUWA FEYISITAN
Nigeria is a great country, but there are some things that need to change. I will talk about some of them here.
Firstly, a major problem in Nigeria is the traffic problem. Traffic is mostly found in urban communities because many people live and work there. Traffic is usually caused by poor infrastructure such as bad and unrepaired roads. When places have poor infrastructure, it is said to have non-functional government representatives that do not carry out their responsibilities to the people. Traffic is also caused by poor driving, and it affects the movement of cars on the road. I hope the traffic in Nigeria eventually reduces and I hope they repair the bad roads.
Did you know that some places in Nigeria don’t have an electric power supply? Do you know that Nigeria is one of the countries with the poorest electrical power supply in the world? The reason is that some people in the country that have influence and power and our government do not play their part in making available necessary amenities for the citizen.
Violence in an election is another aspect that needs attention. During voting, it is supposed to be peaceful, but when a candidate loses, it causes violence. Most of the time, it is caused by politicians, candidates and even some voters. Therefore violence is still very present in our election. This also does not allow people to vote as they are scared for their lives. This violence has to end!
These things need to change, and I hope it does. I hope things get better. This is the Nigeria I want to see. A Better Nigeria where we do things right.
