Our centre offers a well-researched and engaging curriculum designed to boost self-confidence, creativity, and competence in English language skills. Position: Marketing and Communications Administrator
Organisation: Jordan Hill Creative Writing & Reading Workshop, Lagos
Type: Part-time (3 days a week), Hybrid (Remote & In-person)
Salary: Competitive, based on experience
Range: ₦120,000 – ₦150,000 monthly

Role Overview
We are seeking a proactive and creative Marketing and Communications Administrator to join our
team. This role is essential for driving our marketing strategies, managing our communications, and
supporting administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will be passionate about education, skilled in
marketing, and have excellent organisational abilities.

Key Responsibilities
Marketing Strategy Development:
Develop and execute marketing plans to promote our programmes and events.
Utilize various marketing channels including social media, email, and community outreach to attract new students and reinforce Jordan Hill’s community relevance.
Communications Management:
Craft and manage engaging content for newsletters, press releases, website updates, and social media.
Handle all internal and external communications to ensure consistent messaging and branding.

Administrative Support:
Assist with the day-to-day administrative tasks to support programme operations.
Maintain records, prepare reports, and manage budgets effectively.

Teaching Support: 

Run workshops for children/young adults/adults on writing, speaking and communication if and when the need arises.

Event Coordination:
Organise and manage events, workshops, and community outreach initiatives.
Represent Jordan Hill CWRW at community events, schools, and other outreach opportunities.

Parental Engagement:
Communicate regularly with parents to provide updates on their child’s progress and answer any queries.
Facilitate parent meetings and feedback sessions to enhance the student experience.

Team Collaboration:
Work closely with the Programme Manager and other team members to ensure seamless
operations.
Support the recruitment, training, and management of volunteers and part-time staff.

Content Creation:
Create marketing materials such as brochures, flyers, and digital ads.
Develop and maintain a content calendar to ensure timely and relevant communication.

Social Media & Digital Visibility
• Manage all social media platforms for Jordan Hill and AfroImagine.
• Create high-quality content, including graphics, captions, videos, reels, and short features.
• Record videos, capture moments, and document activities during classes, workshops, and events.
• Develop visibility content for the management team and support organisational storytelling.
• Serve as an ambassadorial content creator—the digital face of Jordan Hill—representing the organisation with professionalism and creativity.

Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in English, Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience:
Proven experience in a marketing or communications role, preferably within an educational or
creative environment.

Experience with social media management, content creation, and event planning.

Skills:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable with e-learning platforms.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

Adept at using Canva, CapCut, Adobe Express.
Creative and innovative mindset with a passion for education and child development.

Important things to note:
·  The commencement of the job is scheduled for September 2024.
·       Working on some Saturdays in the month is required.
·        Ownership of a personal, fully operational laptop is mandatory.
Proficiency in teaching across digital and traditional classroom settings.
