Jordan Hill Creative Quest is an exciting online summer programme for children aged 5 to 12 who enjoy imagination, stories, games, comics, films, news, travel, business ideas, and creative projects.

In each one-hour mission, children choose a fun creative challenge, build ideas, write for a real purpose, and complete something they can share with family, friends, or their learning group.

Children can join alone, with a sibling, or with friends.

Who is this Quest for?

Jordan Hill Creative Quest is for children who:

What to do next

Choose Your Mission and Session Times

Please choose the Mission or Missions your child or group would like to complete.

You may choose as many Missions in a Quest as you would like your child to go on.

Comic Strip Creator

Children design their own comic characters, create a short comic adventure, and write dialogue and captions.

In this mission, children learn how to tell a story through pictures, speech bubbles, short sentences, action, and humour.

They will:

  • Design original characters
  • Create a short comic idea
  • Write dialogue and captions
  • Build a beginning, middle, and ending
  • Create a comic strip to share

Best for children who enjoy drawing, funny characters, superheroes, adventure, and visual storytelling.

Game Designer 

Children create the idea for their own story based game.

They design the world of the game, the main character, the mission, the challenges, the rewards, and the choices players must make.

They will:

  • Create a game concept
  • Design missions and challenges
  • Invent rewards and obstacles
  • Write game instructions
  • Plan story paths for players

Best for children who enjoy gaming, problem solving, fantasy worlds, rules, choices, and challenges.

Mystery Detectives 

Children become mystery writers and detectives.

They create clues, suspects, secrets, and a mystery story with a surprise ending that keeps readers guessing.

They will:

  • Solve clues and puzzles
  • Create a mystery setting
  • Invent suspects and motives
  • Write a mystery story
  • Create a surprising ending

Best for children who enjoy detective stories, secrets, puzzles, suspense, and unexpected endings.

Animation Story Lab

Children explore how animated stories are built.

They create characters, plan scenes, design a simple storyboard, and write a short animated episode.

They will:

Plan scenes using a storyboard

Write dialogue and action

Develop a short animated episode

Best for children who enjoy animated films, cartoons, characters, visual ideas, and performance.

Newsroom Challenge

Children become reporters for the day.

They conduct simple interviews, write fun news reports, and create a newspaper front page or news bulletin.

They will:

Choose a news topic

Conduct simple interviews

Write a short news report

Create headlines

Design a newspaper front page or news bulletin

Best for children who enjoy asking questions, reporting events, speaking, presenting, and finding out what happened.

Materials needed

Children will need:

  • A notebook or plain paper
  • Pencil and eraser
  • Coloured pencils, crayons, or markers
  • A pen for writing
  • Access to a laptop, tablet, or computer
  • A stable internet connection
  • Canva access for missions that include simple design activities

Meet Your Quest Guide

This Quest Mission is led by Ms Blessing.

Your Quest Guide will explain the mission, guide the activities, support your child during the session, and help them complete their summer challenge with confidence.

Each Quest Mission is delivered over two one-hour sessions, so your child or group will need two separate session slots for the chosen mission.

You may choose any two available slots that work best for your family or group.

For group bookings, all families in the group must agree on the two preferred session days and times before the booking form is completed.
