Jordan Hill Number Quest is an exciting online summer maths programme for children aged 5 to 12 who need more confidence with numbers, calculations, fractions, money, measurement, and everyday maths.

In each Number Quest mission, children use games, real-life challenges, puzzles, visual activities, and practical tasks to understand maths in a clearer and more enjoyable way.

Children can join alone, with a sibling, or with friends.

Choose Your Mission and Session Times

Please choose the Mission or Missions your child or group would like to complete.

You may choose as many Missions in a Quest as you would like your child to go on.

Number Ninja Challenge

Children practise quick mental maths, number patterns, and calculation strategies through games and fun challenges.
In this mission, children build speed, accuracy, and confidence with numbers.

They will:
Practise quick calculations
Spot number patterns
Use mental maths tricks
Work through number challenges
Improve confidence with addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division

Best for children who need to become faster, more accurate, and more confident with numbers.

Materials Needed for Number Ninja Challenge

Children may need:

• Notebook or plain paper

• Pen or pencil

• Number cards if available

• Dice if available

• Small household objects for counting or grouping, such as buttons, bottle tops, counters, coins, or Lego pieces

• Any number pattern or mental maths challenge sheet provided before the session

Fraction Pizza Party

Children explore fractions, decimals, and percentages using visual activities, food style examples, and matching games.

In this mission, children learn how parts of a whole work and how fractions connect to decimals and percentages.

They will:

Understand parts of a whole

Compare fractions

Match fractions with decimals and percentages

Use pictures and simple models

Solve simple fraction problems

Best for children who find fractions confusing or need visual support.

 

Materials Needed for Fraction Pizza Party

Children may need:

• Plain paper or card

• Coloured pencils, crayons, or markers

• Scissors if a cutting activity is included

• A paper plate or circular object to trace if available

• Food style examples if available, such as a sliced fruit, biscuit, sandwich, or pretend pizza drawing

• Any fraction, decimal, or percentage matching sheet provided before the session

Party Planner Budget Quest

Children plan a birthday party or fun event while working with prices, money, choices, discounts, and budgets.

In this mission, children learn how maths is used when planning and spending.

They will:

Create a simple budget

Compare prices

Decide between needs and wants

Calculate totals and change

Plan an event within a spending limit

Best for children who enjoy shopping, planning, parties, and real-life maths.

 

Materials Needed for Party Planner Budget Quest

Children may need:

• Notebook or plain paper

• Pen or pencil

• A basic calculator if needed

• Toy money, coins, paper money, or printed money if available

• A simple party planning sheet if provided before the session

• A list of party items with prices, such as food, drinks, cake, decorations, games, or gifts

• Optional Canva access if the child wants to design a simple party plan or budget poster

Mission Measure It

Children use objects around them to estimate, measure, compare, and solve practical problems.

In this mission, children learn how measurement works in everyday life.

They will:

Practise measuring length, height, weight, and capacity

Estimate before measuring

Compare measurements

Use real household objects

Solve practical measurement problems

Best for children who learn better through hands-on

Materials Needed for Mission Measure It

Children may need:

• Notebook or plain paper

• Pen or pencil

• Ruler

• Tape measure if available

• Measuring jug or cup if available

• Kitchen scale or bathroom scale if available

• A few household objects to measure, such as a book, pencil case, water bottle, table, bag, fruit, or toy

• Any measurement recording sheet provided before the session

activities.

 

Maths Olympics Challenge

Children use sports, games, scores, timing, points, averages, and percentages to complete maths challenges.

In this mission, children see how maths works in sport, games, and competitions.

They will:

Work with scores and points

Compare results

Calculate simple averages

Use percentages in sports examples

Complete sports-based maths challenges

Best for children who enjoy sports, games, friendly competition, and active challenges.

 

Materials Needed for Maths Olympics Challenge

Children may need:

• Notebook or plain paper

• Pen or pencil

• A basic calculator if needed

• Stopwatch, phone timer, or clock if available

• A simple sports score table if provided before the session

• A favourite sport example, such as football, basketball, athletics, tennis, swimming, or any sport the child enjoys

• Small objects for quick games, such as balls, counters, cards, or dice

• Space for simple safe movement activities if included by the tutor

Duration

Each Number Quest mission takes place over two one-hour online sessions.

Your child will need to book two sessions for the chosen mission.

Session 1 focuses on introducing the maths idea, guided practice, and fun activities.

Session 2 focuses on solving challenges, applying the skill, and completing the final task.

Total learning time: 2 hours.

This Quest Mission is led by Ms Yinka.

Your Quest Guide will explain the mission, guide the activities, support your child during the session, and help them complete their summer challenge with confidence.

Each Quest Mission is delivered over two one-hour sessions, so your child or group will need two separate session slots for the chosen mission.

You may choose any two available slots that work best for your family or group.

For group bookings, all families in the group must agree on the two preferred session days and times before the booking form is completed.
