Role Overview

We are looking for an innovative and experienced Programme Manager to lead, develop, and oversee our online and in-person programmes at Jordan Hill.

This is a primarily hybrid role with both remote and in-person participation required at select public events, school partnerships, or Jordan Hill CWRW initiatives.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about nurturing a love of learning in children, confident in managing digital learning programmes, and skilled at leading a team of tutors.

The Programme Manager will play a key role in shaping a dynamic and impactful learning experience for children, and will also work closely with parents to support each child’s growth.

Key Responsibilities

Programme Development

  • Design, implement, and continually enhance our online creative writing, reading, math, and other subject curricula.
  • Ensure all digital programmes align with Jordan Hill’s mission to foster a love of lifelong learning.
  • Lead and promote all Jordan Hill initiatives: Jordan Hill Books, AfroImagine and Learning Unleashed
  • Create and manage a sustainable programme for Jordan Hill young authors.

 

Lead and Facilitate Educational Programmes

  • Teach educational programmes.
  • Oversee the delivery of dynamic, interactive in-person and online lessons.
  • Support tutors in creating engaging digital learning experiences for students aged 4–16.

 

Team Leadership

  • Recruit, train, and manage a team of tutors.
  • Provide continuous mentorship, support, and professional development to maintain high teaching standards.

 

Class Management

  • Manage scheduling and logistics for online classes.
  • Ensure that programmes run smoothly and meet learning outcomes for each age group.

 

Parental Engagement

  • Build strong relationships with parents.
  • Communicate student progress and offer advice on supporting learning at home.

 

Quality Assurance

  • Monitor the effectiveness of in-person and online programmes through assessments, feedback, and engagement data.
  • Regularly evaluate teaching methods and recommend improvements.

 

Marketing and Outreach

  • Develop digital marketing strategies to attract new students.
  • Develop and deliver engaging content such as videos, posts, and updates that reflect Jordan Hill’s values and showcase our programmes, becoming a visible ambassador for the organisation.
  • Represent Jordan Hill CWRW at online events and in-person engagements, including school partnerships and community events, as needed.

 

Administrative Duties

  • Manage programme records, reporting, and budgets through digital tools.
  • Ensure smooth operation of the in-person and online learning engagements.
  • Attend occasional in-person events such as public engagements, school partnerships, book promotions with bookstores, or Jordan Hill CWRW initiatives.

 

Collaborative Projects

  • Develop new digital initiatives and build partnerships that align with Jordan Hill’s vision and goals.

 

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, English studies or a related field.
  • Master’s degree or additional qualifications in educational management or digital education is a plus.

 

Experience

  • Proven experience in programme management, particularly in online education or creative learning environments.
  • Experience in delivering creative writing and reading programmes for children is highly desirable.

 

Skills

  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent digital communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Creative and innovative mind-set with a passion for learning and child development.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and online learning platforms (Zoom, Google Classroom, or similar).
  • Strong organisational and project management skills.

Requirements

  • Applicants must reside in Lagos, Nigeria.
    A functional personal laptop and a reliable internet connection are also required.
  • Availability for occasional work on Saturdays is expected.
