 CHRISTMAS ON A ROLL

Santa was busy preparing for Christmas, two days before Christmas, right in the North pole. The elves had never prepared for Christmas like this before. It was the busiest Christmas for them and they worked like busy bees.

One of the elves named Bobo was a cheeky elf. He wanted to be in charge of things but he was never allowed to rule. So, he caused problems and made the work slow. On Christmas eve, Bobo made a big mess of things. He put the toys in the wrong boxes and labelled them wrongly and this made Santa so angry, he fired Bobo.

Bobo was angry as well so, he wanted revenge. There were some mischievous elves who wanted to destroy Christmas as well so they got together to hatch an evil plan. They gave Bobo a task to do which was to get rid of Santa and destroy the North Pole.

Meanwhile, Santa’s secret spy was under the window where he heard their plans and immediately rushed to tell Santa what he had heard. Santa told him to act fast.

It was an afternoon in the snowy North Pole and Santa was worried. He thought of how Christmas would end if something weren’t done quickly. The elves were also very sad.

Mitchy, a tall brown elf said depressingly, “All our hard work would be gone. We worked so hard but we will lose it all if we do not do something fast. It’s so painful,” cried Mitchy.

Another elf named Chicky said, “We won’t let our Christmas go like that. We have to stand up and let Christmas continue even though it’s tomorrow.  Who is with me!” shouted Chicky. Everybody loved her plan and decided to fight for Christmas but Santa suggested a speech battle instead of war.

It was 4 pm already on Christmas eve and the evil elves were shocked to see Santa approached them. Santa said, “We have an agreement and my secretary will read it to you.”

Mitchy read, “We all knew you wanted to rule, but we didn’t allow you and as you all know, there are twelve months in a year. Now, we have decided to allow you to rule for the first six months then we will have our turn at ruling you for the next six months and mind you, we want a fair ruling!’’

They were all happy with the idea and they lived happily and celebrated Christmas together.
