Emergency Christmas!
By Uwabor Tekla Oghosa
Clive, the clumsy elf was putting the last toy into the huge pile that all of Santa’s elves had been busy creating. As he reached up to the top, he slipped and fell into the pile. All the toys came crashing down and broke against the floor. Santa came to inspect the toys which were meant to be given out to the children for Christmas in two days and saw that all the toys were destroyed.
Then, he was furious, frustrated and disappointed. He immediately disengaged the clumsy Clive. Clive went crying around the shop pleading for forgiveness, but Santa never listened to him. Santa felt sad and he thought “What could be done to fix this situation?” But soon he slept off from weariness of heart.
Suddenly, he woke up with an excellent idea. He said to himself “I have a great plan!”
Boom! Santa had a plan. “Let’s make new toys for the children on Christmas eve with my new electronic toy machine,” he said.
It took just about thirty minutes for the elves to make about 1,000,000 toys for the children with the electronic toy machine. Afterwards, Santa and the elves delivered the toys to the children on Tuesday night before Christmas morning.
“Oh oh oh merry Christmas!” screamed Santa to awaken the children. All the children were thrilled when they saw their presents under their Christmas trees. The children were excited and could not wait to open their presents.
The children were merry and wished for another Christmas day to come immediately.
But the elves were very sad that Clive was not there with them. Not having Clive with them made Santa feel sad too and he went looking for Clive. He looked around for Clive and found him crying near the river bank. Santa forgave him and took him to the shop so he could continue to work for him. All the elves were happy and Santa too.
